Installing LEI 8.0.2 on i5/OS

After the normal upgrade steps everything is running fine. We enabled Sametime to be accessible from the Blackberry and from DWA and we found no issues. Sametime Gateway Cluster not supported in a WAN

I was running the ST 7.5.1 client for a while and I decided to upgrade to Sametime 8 last week, well instead if upgrading, the client installer decided to go with a new install. Now I got 2 Sametime clients running at the same time in my machine. If the Domino server and the Notes clients are able to detect previous installed releases, why Sametime can not do it. Lotus Notes 8 in other language
Thu, Nov 29th 2007 1:52p Luis Alejandro IBM is releasing Notes 8.0.1 soon, in the Lotus community we are all excited about this new release, however, it looks like it won't be that exciting for some organizations that want to deploy the Notes client in other languages. According to IBM Technote 1288585 the Notes client will come just in some default languages (Spanish not included by the way) and if you want to have the client in a different language you must deploy a MUI (Multilingual User Interface). Google Maps - Street views

I have my TomTom One but this Google feature can give us some extra information about the place we want to go to. Moving VPUSERINFO.NSF after a Sametime Upgrade
Thu, Oct 25th 2007 12:09p Luis Alejandro This week I was doing a Sametime upgrade for a customer, so, everything was going perfect until I wanted to move the old vpuserinfo.nsf to the new server. Basically, the procedure is stopping the ST server, move the old vpuserinfo.nsf to the new ST, run the nconvert utility against this database using the ST 7.5.1 Sametime User Information template, and start the server. Looking for a nice place to live in Chicago

I have to say the Sametime Development team should work a little bit more in the interface. There is no Edit button, Menu, navigator, nothing !!! Upgrading WebSphere Portal to 6.0.1.1 on iSeries
Fri, Sep 14th 2007 10:26a Luis Alejandro After I installed WebSphere Portal V6, I had to upgrade it to 6.0.1.1, but it hasn't been an easy task. After fix some typos and stupid things, I started to see errors about DB connections. Well it looks like the update code was hardcoded and we need to create the Design and Sync databases in the iSeries and modify the wpconfig.properties with the user, schema, url and dataSource information.
